We round off this academic year’s Music in the Chapel series with our annual celebration of orchestral music, performed by the talented Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. In an enthralling concert programme, we will continue the Bernstein centenary celebrations with orchestral selections from his best-known work, West Side Story, and will showcase one of Shostakovich’s earliest works with his sensational first symphony, composed when he was just eighteen years old. It will also be a real treat to hear one of our final year music award holders, Tom Clough, perform three of the Vaughan Williams’ setting of Anglican priest George Herbert’s poetry in Mystical Songs.
