Rutland Youth Open 2017
The Rutland Youth Open 2017 took place from October 14th to November 10th 2017, with an open evening on Friday, October 13th.
The Rutland Open Youth Art Exhibition is for young people aged 11 to 18, and takes place at the Rutland County Museum in Oakham. The theme for 2017 was Friday the 13th as that’s the day work was unveiled to the public at our open evening.
Starting in 2016 as an offshoot of the successful and well-established Rutland Open Exhibition, it is aimed at young artists who live in Rutland, or are at school in Rutland. Entries are accepted in the mediums of painting, drawing, ceramic, sculpture and textiles.

Rutland Youth Open 2016
The theme for 2016 year’s exhibition was ‘Can you see what I see?’. The private view took place on Friday evening, 5th February 2016 , when exhibitors and their parents and teachers gathered to see the work, and prizes were presented by the High Sheriff of Rutland, Andrew Brown, and the exhibition ran until Friday 4th March.
